5 EASY TIPS TO MAKE YOUR HOME FEEL LIKE A HOTEL
Good hotels are about convenience, quality & comfort and when you do these easy things around your home you'll be just a little closer to feeling like you're indulging in 5 star luxury.
1. GET RID OF CLUTTER & LIMIT OPTIONS:
Hotels have a place for everything you need and nothing more. No old magazines, no half-finished projects, no hand-me-down ballerina collections. They don't have a dozen options for shampoo or a thousand frames on the dresser.
2. A CLEAN DESK
Have a place to sit down to write a letter or pay bills without distraction. Keep a single pad of paper and a pen nearby. Keep the desk surface clean and unobstructed. Preferably with a view out the window.
3. IRON YOUR SHEETS
Super crisp sheets will make you feel like you're staying in a posh hotel. Also invest in good quality linens, you want to feel like you are staying at the Ritz and not the budget motel. This is my hotel bed formula: Ironed sheets, four standard (or king) extra-fluffy pillows, two or three extra-fluffy euro pillows, and a duvet.
4. HIRE A HOUSEKEEPER
Not having to worry about cleaning is the ultimate perk of staying in a hotel. A housekeeper will keep the towels off the floor and your duvet fluffed. You could even ask them to leave a chocolate on your pillow when they leave.
5. A BATHROBE
A large fluffy white terry-cloth or waffle-weave one.
BONUS: KEEP MINI LIQUOR BOTTLES STOCKED
